Animal tricks
An enviroment that explores the human characteristics in animals.

Have you ever looked into those big brown canine eyes and felt that they seem to know much more than they are letting on................ Sometimes they can look so innocent, or devious and sometimes so humorous.

We have in our culture given already human traits to the animal kingdom, e.g as cunning as a fox, as proud as a lion etc etc. Or what about the hen party and stag nights!

The comparisons are endless.

Monuments to Antiquity
A symbollage piece that explores the repeditive occurances of great monumental "civilizations" that have come and gone. They have paved the way to our own reality today.

The reptile on the rock symbolizes the end of the giant reptilian era. Maybe a guage to show how small and fragile we really are, in this great planet of ours.

Nirvana
Nirvana detail one Nirvana detail two
This piece is about the unity as opposed to diversity of the various main religions. I have also added a totalitarian example as well, because all dogma whether secular or religious can be insular. Each believing that their particular belief is the ultimate truth and all the others are wrong.

What I am trying to convey is that all religions hold a piece of the truth, like one gigantic puzzle. Looking back in history each one has influenced the other and therefore it would be better looking to find a common ground, instead of fighting.

Blue table
This piece started out from a story I heard from Vietnam.

A table that had mystical powers of its own. It worked by placing your hands on the table top. You would then ask it a question and it would answer yes or no depending on the direction of its spin.

And the poor table was even arrested once because it told the truth!?

Anyway it was a good beginning for a symbollage work, as it developed into trying to convey the mysteries all around us, past and present.

Soulless
In this symbollage I have used ancient stone faces to create "semi" human beings, in an urban backdrop, that is on its way to become a desert.

Its a comment about the destructive nature of the urban lifestyle, on our enviroment, as well as on our soul.

The secret garden
The angels eyes beckons the observer to walk in and around this magical garden.

In this piece I was trying to capture the feelings I had once had about a special place I walked past everyday on my way to school.

Down this old forgotten road, in between the trees I could glimpse a half hidden derelict house, with an overgrown garden and an old abandoned tennis court.

The house and grounds had seen better days, yet it stood still with a power I cannot describe and had left a strong imprint on my imagination to this day, forty years on.

Where to next?
Hans Christian Andersen said once: "to travel is to live".

The naval goat is pointing at the globe and thinking where to next? He loves to come back home to his house and to box his newest collections of interesting finds, but in the back of his mind, he is planning his next adventure.

The magical door in the background represents his escape!
