Nest of tables
These two small tables fit into each other, like two peas in a pod! The edges are not completely rectangular, but curve in ever so slightly.

Both tables have a dominant female figure in the centre. Each are depicted in opposite 1950´s role models; the domestic madonna versus the sexy Hollywood icon. The background is one mix of gorgeous 1950´s ad design.

The top table is dominated by the vibrant colour red, the lower a contrasting sunshine yellow!

1950´s green table
1950´s green table detail one
This table I found in a country junk shop. The table lay forgotten under heaps of other interesting finds and overhead the roof was caving in, but what a pearl of a coffee table to discover.

Its a fifties table with room for all the mags and newspaper storage underneath.

The theme was not particularily 1950´s but it was more in finding interesting pieces that were dominated by the colour green, with hints of colour contrast.

Size: 60x37 • h=55 cm

Palette table

Shaped like an artists palette, this very small table was a delight to find. It is a handmade carpenter piece with the label to prove underneath. It has a metal bar for about two mags and a hidden drawer that swings out, on a small screw to keep secrets in!

Colour and scale of each piece is deliberate to give this a unified look. From there you can scan the surface and find small images to discover.

Size at longest point: 38x39 cm • height =43 cm

Stamps and map round table
stamp table detail one
Fascinated by old maps with sea monsters was the starting point for this round table.

The composition grew by placing stamps on top of an ancient map of Denmark, in the direction to which country the stamp related to.

Placed in the centre is a Leon Bakst theatrical figure, to give weight to the fluidness of the small pieces. A repeditive row of similar stamps frames the composition.

Flight table
flight table detail one
This table piece had a 1970´s mahogany feel about it. The legs were neo classical and I thought it desperately needed to be pepped up a bit, yet retain the classical feel. so a black and white idea evolved.

Using clocks and dials iniatially, it grew more into the history of flight and everything I could find associated with that theme.

Japanese stamp high table
A high table, that reminds me of an arts and crafts piece.

The japanese prints fitted this style and underneath finnish stamps, similar, but differentiating in colour, make a chequered fun border.
